Installation requirements
- Phillips screwdriver
- Drill and drill bit (8 mm for wall mounting; 3 mm for ceiling tile mounting)
- Optional: drywall or jigsaw (to cut 18mm hole for Ethernet cable)
- Cat5/6 UTP cable for indoor installations
Outdoor Installation Requirements

IMPORTANT: He UAP-AC-SHD can be installed outdoors under an eave or other protected location. Do not install the UniFi Access Point in open environments. |

- Mounting should be done at least 60cm from the edge of the eaves or roof.
- The cable exit opening must be located on the opposite side to the open environment.
- The cable should be directed downward when wall mounting.
- Category 5 (or higher) shielded cabling must be used for all outdoor wired Ethernet connections and must be connected to the PoE AC ground.
