Installation requirements
- The IS-5AC comes with a default horn antenna (Horn-5-45) that supports the following options:
- Horn-5-30
- Horn-5-60
- Horn-5-90
- U-OMT antenna
- 7mm socket wrench or screwdriver
- Category 5 (or higher) shielded cabling with drain wire must be used for all Ethernet connections and must be connected to the PoE AC ground.
We recommend that you protect your networks from harmful outdoor environments and electrostatic discharge phenomena with Ubiquiti's industrial-grade Ethernet shielded cable. For more information, please visit ui.com/toughcable
- Surge protection must be used at all outdoor installations. We recommend that you use two surge protectors, model ETH-SP, one near the IsoStation and the other at the building entry point. The ETH-SP will absorb surges and safely discharge them to the ground.
