Description
TRENDnet's TC-NT3 is a convenient and easy-to-use VDV and USB cable tester for network professionals. It accurately tests a variety of voice, data, video, and USB cables. The TC-NT3 detects good, broken, shorted, and interconnected pins over cable distances up to 300 meters (1,000 feet). Quick Test mode provides pass/fail results for large test batches. All components fit into a convenient travel case.
Cables and ports
Allows you to accurately check pin configurations of: T568A/B, CAT3-8, USOC (2, 4, 6, and 8) forward and reverse, COAX, and Alarm with RJ45 to F adapters, and USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 cables

Displays TX and RX results separately to optimize troubleshooting
Local and remote testing
A master unit facilitates loop testing, while a detachable remote unit allows testing of cables in locations remote from the master unit.

Continuous scan mode is designed to allow testing with cable ends in various locations
Manual exploration
Manual scanning is well suited for loopback cable testing
Quick test mode
Designed for rapid testing of large numbers of cables, Quick Test mode detects a particular cable type and immediately reports a pass or fail result for that cable type.
Flashing hub/switch mode
Designed to confirm which port a hub or switch is networked to, Blinking Hub/Switch mode causes the LES indicator of the connected network port to blink.
Cable distance
Tests cables up to 300 meters (1,000 feet) in length
Tone generator
Compatible with TRENDnet's TC-TP1 Network Sensor for tracing cables using two selectable tones
