Description
The OTDR 5000 is a handy optical time domain reflectometer available for 850/1300nm multimode measurements or as a combination unit for 850/1300nm multimode and 1310/1550nm singlemode.
The FiberXpert uses an optical time-domain reflectometer to send a pulse of light through the fiber and then measures the profile of the reflected signal to verify bend radius, splices, breaks, and connectors. Components, fault types, and distance to fault are graphically displayed on the FiberXpert.
The FiberXpert is a complete solution with 850/1300nm multimode and 1310/1550nm singlemode modes. For both multimode and singlemode fibers, the FiberXpert OTDR 5000 features a very high dynamic range with an event dead zone of less than 80 cm, making it a perfect tool for measuring short fiber distances in compliance with standards, for documentation and for detecting any errors.
