NOTIFIER NCM-W Wired Communication Module

The Network Communications Module (NCM) provides NOTIFIER intelligent fire alarm control panels and NCA and NCA-2 network control annunciators with a way to connect to NOTI•FIRE•NET™. Two types of Network Communications Modules are available: the NCM-W for connecting nodes using twisted pair cable and the NCM-F for connecting nodes using fiber optic cable.

• Style 4 (Class B) or Style 7 (Class A) operation per NFPA standards.

• Two programmable data thresholds.

• Transformer coupling provides electrical isolation between nodes.

• Electrical wiring terminal connector with strain relief.

• Pluggable service connector (supplies signal directly) in case power needs to be disconnected from a node.

• Transmission speed of 312.5 Kbaud.

• Data is regenerated on each node.

• Two network ports allow simultaneous connection to the fire alarm control panel and computer for programming.

• Allows upload/download of database and software through NOTI•FIRE•NET.

• Repeaters available to increase the signal.

• Repeaters can be used to change the type of environment.

• Up to 3,000 feet (914.4 m) between nodes in point-to-point style (actual distance varies depending on cable quality).
