Description
The SDM-240 Synchronization Module is designed to operate with Mircom 240, 340 and 400 Series Notification Appliances in any of the following synchronization modes: temporal sound (tone) pattern synchronization (Code 3), synchronizing strobe flashing, and synchronizing strobe flashing while the sounders are silenced and the strobes continue to flash. SDM-240 modules are capable of connecting two Style Y (Class B) notification circuits or one Style Z (Class A) circuit, each circuit supporting up to 3 Amps.
SDM-240 modules can be interconnected so that more than two alarm notification zones can be synchronized by interconnecting the SYNC terminals in a Bus topology. Up to a maximum of twenty modules can be interconnected. All inputs are polarized for compatibility with control panels that use reverse polarity wire integrity monitoring.
