Description
The MIX-4070 SLC Short Circuit Isolator Module is designed for use with a compatible MGC control panel. The isolator module allows part of the communication loop to continue to operate when a short circuit occurs in the loop. The indicator LED flashes under normal conditions and remains lit during a short circuit condition. Only the LEDs on the devices next to the short circuit are lit steadily to easily identify the faulty section of the SLC communication loop.
The module automatically restores the entire communication loop to normal operating condition when the short circuit has been removed. This is a hardware-only device and does not require an address. There is no limit to the number of MX-4070 devices installed in the SLC as long as the total loop current limit is respected.
