Description
The MIX-4042 analog interface module is designed to be used with a compatible MGC control panel providing high, reliable and secure data exchange rates.
The MIX-4042 Conventional Zone Module allows a zone of conventional detectors to be connected to an intelligent SLC loop. It can also be configured to operate with sensors with a 4-20 mA output signal.
A listed external power supply can be connected to multiple MIX-4042 modules to provide power to the devices while remaining electrically isolated from the fire alarm control panel. Each MIX-4042 module monitors the current drawn by the devices and reports the alarm or trouble condition accordingly.
When configured for conventional devices, the module will automatically handle Class A or Class B circuits. When the MIX-4042 is configured for Class A operation, the module provides an internal EOL resistor. An MP-300 end-of-line resistor must be used for applications with Class B wiring.

- Up to 240 MIX-4000 Series devices can be connected in any combination, on a single SLC signaling loop.
- Mounts in standard 4 inch electrical gang box or double gang rectangular electrical gang box.
- The indicator LED provides the status of the module.
- Compatible with conventional alarm initiating devices or sensors with a two-wire 4-20 mA signal.
- The IDC alarm initiating circuit can be configured to operate as one (1) Class A circuit or one (1) Class B circuit with conventional devices.
